Participating in our programs offers numerous benefits, including the development of critical skills such as public speaking, negotiation, research, and diplomacy. Delegates gain a deeper understanding of international relations, governance, and globalization. Additionally, these simulations provide a unique opportunity for delegates to network with peers from different backgrounds, which encourages them to embrace the diversity in our society.
Moreover, all high school students participating as delegates get the chance to compete for a scholarship for their undergraduate studies at LAU!
School students are not required to have any specific skills or previous experience to be able to register in our programs; however, we highly encourage that delegates register in a language they are proficient in to be able to acquire the full experience.
LAU does not provide any means of transportation for delegates and advisors. LAU also does not provide food meals to any participants; however, the LAU cafeteria is always available to serve everyone on campus. Occasionally, the Public Relations team arranges for sponsors to bring in food trucks on campus.
Sessions are typically from 9 am to 5 pm with a mid-session break of 1.5 hours. A detailed schedule is communicated with all participants before every session.
All delegates and advisors who participate in any of the four programs and abide by the attendance policy (applicable only to delegates) will receive a certificate of participation regardless of the award outcomes. All advisors who attend the workshops and abide by the attendance policy will also receive a workshop certificate of completion.

Delegates will be required to attend all program sessions for which attendance is taken where required throughout a session, and that in order to obtain a certificate of participation and remain eligible for any award at the final conferences.
The attendance policy does not allow for any absence. This includes: 2 Training Sessions, Mock Conference, and Both Full days of the Final Conference.
